What every section does

Discover

Discovery Radar is the recommended starting point. It summarizes creators worth meeting, Creator Orbit, Category Opportunity, Emerging Signals, published Schedule Adjacency, Following rediscovery, and Nerdspace handoffs before you browse the full live directory.

Discovery Missions

Mission cards describe your goal instead of exposing ranking knobs. Meet Someone New keeps discovery broad. Find Hidden Gems prioritizes smaller live channels. Find My Community routes toward creators near your audience stage, tags, categories, and network signals. Scout Emerging Creators prioritizes bounded momentum/activity evidence. Outside My Bubble forces meaningful cross-category exploration while preserving explicit filters. Reconnect opens Following Signals. Find a Raid reuses Creator Match to find a live destination, then gives each live result visible Raid out actions: start the raid inside Constellation after an optional Twitch permission upgrade or copy the streamer name for a manual /raid username command.

Analyze a category

Expand Analyze a category inside Discovery Radar, search Twitch's category catalog, and run a bounded adaptive opportunity scan. Constellation shows demand, supply, demand-per-channel context, viewer concentration, creator fit, network evidence, and optional public historical context. Personal historical performance or future schedule opportunity stays labeled unavailable when Constellation has no evidence. Explore live creators turns the researched category into an explicit Discovery filter.

Creator Orbit & Find Similar

Creator Orbit groups current candidates into Inner, Adjacent, and Outer relationships. Find Similar uses Creator Network as a soft relationship model based on category relationships, tags, language, audience stage/scale, and local feedback; it does not silently convert the source creator into hard filters.

Browse modes

For You, Hidden Gems, Emerging, and Established remain available as secondary browse modes after the decision surfaces. Sort stays separate. Constellation uses adaptive candidate goals and safety ceilings rather than fetching the same fixed number of pages for every category.

Following

All, Live, Offline, and Clips are mutually exclusive buttons. All is built from Twitch's complete paginated followed-channel list, then enriched with public profile/channel/live metadata. Offline creators stay visible instead of disappearing just because they are not live. Discovery-only settings such as Partner exclusion, recently-seen suppression, creator stage, and Never show do not remove creators from this authoritative Following directory. When Twitch provides the follow timestamp, Constellation shows Following since … beside followed creators across the app.

Following Signals

Once the complete directory is warm, Constellation groups factual signals into Rediscover, New Follows, Changed Orbit, and Live Now. These use Twitch follow dates/current channel state plus Constellation-local interaction history. Constellation does not receive or infer Twitch watch history.

Twitch teams first

This option is off until you choose it. When enabled on Following Live, Constellation checks the Twitch teams each live followed creator belongs to. Team-affiliated creators are moved to the top of the list and their team name is shown in bold on the card. This uses Twitch's Channel Teams API and does not require another OAuth permission.

Turning the option off returns the list to its normal order and stops showing the team labels.

Creator Match 2.0

Creator Match finds potential peers or collaborators around an audience you control. The final audience number is always editable.

Audience source

Live now uses your current Twitch live viewers. 30D typical suggests your public TwitchTracker 30-day average. Last stream and Past broadcast load your archived Twitch VOD list but use the 30-day typical value only as a suggestion because Twitch VOD views are not live concurrent viewers. Custom lets you enter any audience directly.

Candidate audience basis

Live compares against what candidates have right now. 30D typical compares against TwitchTracker average viewers when available. Typical mode checks only a limited set of strong candidates.

Schedule Intelligence

Collaboration Fit first uses a creator's published Twitch schedule. If no schedule is published, Constellation can inspect up to 30 recent public archived broadcasts from the last 90 days and estimate recurring stream windows. Recent broadcasts count more strongly, very short broadcasts are ignored, and recurring start times are clustered so one unusual event does not become a fake schedule.

TwitchTracker does not supply per-stream timestamps. Constellation uses Twitch VOD timestamps for the observed pattern and uses TwitchTracker's public 30-day streamed-time total only as a completeness cross-check. If VOD history accounts for much less activity than TwitchTracker reports, confidence is reduced. Observed patterns are labeled High, Medium, Low, or Insufficient and are never presented as confirmed future availability.

Match tags

Required tags must all be present. Preferred tags improve ordering without excluding a creator. Excluded tags remove a creator. Your normal Discovery tags are still shown separately as useful overlap.

Shortlist, history, and expansion

Explicit Creator Match searches are saved locally in a small recent-history list. You can shortlist candidates, compare up to four creators, export the shortlist, or widen a thin match from ±50% to ±75% to ±100% and finally broaden the category search. These tools stay in browser storage only.

Match cards show Twitch tags and explain why the audience/tag relationship matched. Use TwitchTracker stats to open the creator's full public TwitchTracker profile in a new tab.

Saved

Saved is your local shortlist. Saving a creator does not follow them on Twitch and does not send them a notification. Collections can organize collaborators, games, communities, guests, or any other local workflow.

This section also exposes your private Constellation discovery profile and controls for resetting locally learned recommendation information.

Creator cards

Details opens more Twitch information without immediately sending you away from Constellation. Save adds the creator to your local shortlist.

If you already follow the creator, Constellation can show Following since … using Twitch's followed-channel timestamp. The same cached follow-date lookup is reused on Discovery/Following cards, Creator Match, Saved, Compare, channel search, clips, and Details.

30-day context

Discovery cards may show Live now, 30d avg, 30d growth, and 30d active. These values come from TwitchTracker and are kept separate from Twitch's current live viewer count. Category context can also show the category's 30-day average viewers and average live channels when available.

More like this and Less like this teach optional local personalization. Follow category teaches Constellation that a game/category matters to you. Hide 30d temporarily suppresses a creator; Never show suppresses them until restored. Mark cycles through Maybe, Watch later, and Possible collab. Compare adds a creator to the up-to-four-person comparison tool. Creator Match cards also have a local Shortlist action.

Settings

Settings includes accessibility controls plus Discovery defaults such as creator stage, Partner exclusion, category variety, personalization, Historical Discovery context, and hiding recently seen creators.

Historical Discovery context

This is on by default and can be turned off. When enabled, Constellation enriches only a limited set of strong Discovery candidates with TwitchTracker 30-day channel summaries and a limited number of category summaries. The historical layer can improve audience-fit and Emerging/Hidden Gems context, while Twitch still remains the source for who is live and the current live viewer count.

Simple and Advanced

Simple mode keeps the four main destinations, the clearest discovery missions, and the primary actions in view. Advanced reveals browse modes, filters, category analysis, comparison, guided sessions, local data tools, detailed Creator Match sources, and diagnostics. Your choice is remembered on this device.

Personalization is local and optional. Explicit filters continue working even when personalization is disabled. Saved filter presets, Creator Match history, shortlists, bookmarks, and exports are also local-only in Alpha-0.26.0. Twitch login itself is maintained by an encrypted HttpOnly Worker session so Twitch access and refresh tokens are not exposed to browser JavaScript.

Troubleshooting

Open Diagnostics / Bug Log from Settings, the login footer, or the bottom of Constellation when something is not working. Constellation records a limited privacy-safe session log of runtime errors and sanitized request failures.

The downloaded .txt file includes the Constellation version, coarse browser/operating-system information, viewport size, the active section, filter counts, current scan totals, and sanitized request/error events. Twitch tokens, URL parameter values, chat text, and creator/channel identities are excluded.

Post the downloaded file in the #bug-reports channel in the Nerdspace Labs Discord and include a short description of what you clicked before the problem happened.
